So we are back to the Day 2 of the Course ...

Practice With Air Writing

Step 3 Air Writing
This is an important task to do ,
When you sit relaxed imagine you have a already started writing wonderfully . Also , think that the weaker sects of your writing are better ...
Practice AIR writing of a paragraph on yourself .

Step 4 Hand Exercises

While handwriting isn’t a workout, per se, it can eventually take a slight toll on your hands and wrists, if you do it long enough. That’s why it’s a smart idea to start getting used to warming up your hands and wrists prior to every handwriting session.

Improving Your Handwriting :Pin this challenge : step 1 and 2 Day 1

This is a note to all my students out there who  wish to revive and revisit their handwriting to make it a better one.

A better handwriting a better person ! This is a common impression .
A dusky dirty writing ... a careless person
A neatly dotted handwriting ... a particular and organised person

Well, the above are certain assumptions people make ...

Make a list
1. what makes you feel you need to improve your handwriting ?
2. Which parts of your handwriting you wish to improve ?(circle them )
3.How would you want your handwriting to be ? (model it )

Step 1 – The Analysis of Your Handwriting

Make a list
1. What makes you feel you need to improve your handwriting ?
2. Which parts of your handwriting you wish to improve ?(circle them )
3. How would you want your handwriting to be ? (model it )
Now ...
Write a few sentences to form a paragraph. Don’t try to make it “perfect”; simply write naturally so it’s an accurate sample. When you’re done, you can take a step back and objectively start to analyze your handwriting as a starting point.

Step 2- Practice

write the above alphabets in upper as well as lower case in your notebook .
 (for cursive )

To get a meaningful impression, look for the following attributes and factors in your handwriting:

  • The shapes (loops, curves, hard corners, etc.)
  • The slant’s degree (the angle in which you write the letters)
  • The alignment (upward or downward angle, any overlapping with other letters, etc.)
  • The spacing
  • The size
  • The line quality (hard to read, heavy pressure on paper, etc.)
  • Task : find places you think can be improved in the above handwriting ! Make a note of them .  Now take out a notebook in which you have written and do a similar critical activity .
  •  Some ideas of mistakes to look for can include:
    • Letters that are too far apart or squished together
    • Crooked alignment
    • Too steep an angle in your letters
    • Letter shapes that are hard to read or even illegible
    • Letters that are too faint or pressed to hard into the paper
    • Get Inspired by Handwriting That Impresses You!

    • Now write at least a page in that way !!!  Post the images of your handwriting now . How do you feel. Pin that !!!

Why should we have a good handwriting ?

Writing and scribbling  has many benifits . It is important to write because
1. Our  brain engages differently when we write something by hand as opposed to typing it on a keyboard or by touching a screen. Research studies show that writing improves memory;  retain learning better and better information, it helps us work better with new ideas.
2. Writing is a mutisensory activity and involves the use of skills. There is something uniquely physical and multidimensional about putting pen to paper to form words and sentences. This magic of writing get dynamic ideas too . It has the in-built magic of dynamic stimulus variation in itself .
3.Many people make a  handwritten first draft and the subsequent process of reading through and interacting with their writing by annotating, correcting, editing, and reshaping it as a whole. Typing on a screen tempts us instead to edit as we go, fragmenting and dissecting, and potentially interfering with the organic flow of ideas.
4. When one writes the person is fully interacting with ones'self and also makes a best way to develop intraperonal skills . With a pen in hand, there are instantly accessible creative and artistic opportunities
5. Handwriting is unique to each individual writer, unlike typeface. One’s handwriting style, and especially one’s signature, is a public and permanent statement. Learning to write well can help make that statement strong, beautiful, and – perhaps most importantly – legible.
6.Handwritten notes to friends and loved ones are intimate and personal in a way that email and typewritten text cannot fully convey. Nothing but handwriting can fully represent the mood and personality of the writer. A handwritten love note is a creative gift to cherish!
